The Romans Road
Romans 3:23 - for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
"There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one." Romans 3:10-12
Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
We are slaves to sin. A price had to be paid for our sin. The penalty for our sin is death. God gives us, "undeserving sinners", a free gift, Salvation.
Romans 5:8 - But God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
The free gift that God provided for us was the death of His only Son Jesus Christ, who took our place on the Cross of Calvary. He suffered and died so that we wouldn't have to.
Romans 10:13 - For "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Calling out to God is the first step in trusting Him.
Romans 10:9,10 - that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
- Call out to God admitting that you have sinned and trusting in Jesus Christ as the perfect Son of God.
- Believe that God sent His Son to die on the cross for your sin, that he was buried, and rose again on the third day; then scripture says that you will be saved. You will be saved from the penalty of sin, from the power of sin, and one day from the presence of sin!
- Trust in the person of Jesus Christ and His finished work upon the cross for your sins.
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life."
